That was a wee song my Mother's Father's Mother sang to her & she sang to all of us.It never fails to soothe a crying baby-I don't know why but it does.
I remember all of you Kirk Kids filling notebooks with ideas & stories & drawings(we draw a veil over the more lurid ones)
Who could forget Fraser's romance stories of "Goldie" & her erstwhile suitor on the corner?
It's my birthday today & I still daydream although I'm more than twice your age.It can be an abstarct one like "What would it be like to be a bird flying through the clouds" to as unlikely as I'm the Queen of the World or invisible & able to travel around creating mischief & doing good deeds undetected.
If you are a dreamer it never goes-it's part of your DNA & life would be much more grey without some day dreams to colour up the sky.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1070628726970921460.post-65012936709080424962011-06-14T13:02:50.913+01:002011-06-14T13:02:50.913+01:00It's unfortunate that someone discouraged you ...It's unfortunate that someone discouraged you to stop dreaming and writing your ideas down at such a young age. I think it is very easy to get past a situation in life and really only be able to remember the good things.

Bottom line though, the bitter makes the sweet all that much sweeter!
