It's funny how the tide of what a toddler likes and dislikes shifts so easily. One day they'll love cous cous and the next they'll spit it out all over you. One day they'll refuse to even entertain the idea of wearing socks and shoes and the next - you might have guessed this answer already - they'll refuse to wear anything else and have a meltdown if shoes slip off their feet.

The tide of this little toddlers taste is shifting yet again. Hats. Envelopes, leaflets, bits of paper lying around all become 'hats.'

When my sister appeared today for a swim session with me at our local leisure centre Roman was quite pleased she appeared with a hat - his new favourite attire.
